Transform SCU - System changes and updates

To support ‘Transform SCU’, Technology Services implemented updates across core IT systems between Friday, 12 February 2021 and Sunday, 14 February 2021. Over the course of the week commencing Monday, 15 February 2021 there will be updates to further IT systems that will not require outages.

Systems Access

Transform SCU has necessitated changing many system access roles, if you are having trouble accessing items you need to do your job please lodge a request here Technology Services Help Centre

Following are some changes you may need to be aware of from Monday, 15 February 2021:

Student System and Unit & Course Management System Reports 

Any reports or functions that reference organisation unit will need to be run using the new Faculty organisation codes for 2021 onwards. Refer to Searching - Faculty vs School Codes

Unit & Course Management System Report Transition 

Following the go-live of Transform SCU on 15 February 2021 work will continue to finalise all reports to reflect the Faculty structure and historical ownership of courses and units. UCMS Reports

CRM Personal views and dashboards

If you own a view or a dashboard in CRM, you may need to update this. Refer to Personal Views and Dashboards

W drive access for Faculty Staff

A new file structure on the W drive will be created for each Faculty. Each School’s folders will be moved into the new Faculty structure. Refer to W Drive New Locations

Any file shortcuts or links tied to the legacy School folder structure will no longer work and will need to be updated to point to the file's new location.  W Drive changes

Teams channels

If you "own" a Private Microsoft Teams channel you may need to review and update the members. Refer to Teams - Private Channels

Email groups

If you have groups set up for email distribution based on Schools, you will need to review and update. How do I add or remove a member from an email distribution group?
