About Us

CTL is committed to advancing teaching and learning within the Southern Cross Model. The Centre is made up of three teams: Academic Development, Digital Learning and Digital Technologies.  

Academic Development 

CTL academic staff support the development and evolution of the Southern Cross Model across the University. Areas of focus include supporting and showcasing scholarly practice activities, developing communities of practice and peer partnerships, and liaising with and supporting Faculties.

Digital Learning

The Digital Learning team comprises Educational Designers and Digital Designers, who support academic staff to design and develop consistent, quality learning experiences across SCU Unit sites. The team's key activities include designing and developing media-rich Unit resources, supporting the transition to Blackboard Ultra, and enhancing accessibility and inclusion in Unit designs.

Digital Technologies

The Digital Technologies team create Unit enhancements including videos that support Unit learning plans. The team also supports the platform transition to Blackboard Ultra, and the introduction of new Blackboard tools and functionality.
